Arrian Movahedi – Senior RF Design Engineer | Founder, MovaMicrowave LLC

 

Background

  • Arrian Movahedi is one of a few hundred engineers in the U.S. with hands-on GaN-on-SiC RF power amplifier design experience across defense and commercial systems (inside the package, pre-matching and stability, fixture design, thermal analysis, system design, telemetry, some power electronics work, control loops, and full system testing). His work spans high-power transmitters, tactical radio design and testing, as well as reference RF standard designs such as TRL, SOLT, and RF test coupons


Career Highlights


  • Designed GaN-based high power transmitters
     
  • Delivered 16 microstrip PCB tape-outs (100% first-pass success) up to 8 GHz
     
  • Developed seven-layer mixed-signal RF PCB designs integrating power, control, and RF paths.
     
  • Supported MIDS JTRS tactical radio production, personally troubleshooting and recovering 100+ full radio modules in six months, culminating in a 225-page troubleshooting guide (now owned by L3Harris).
     
  • Arrian combines deep technical mastery with a passion for education - building MovaMicrowave LLC to modernize and democratize RF and microwave design for the next generation of engineers.
